This summer brings a bold new concept to Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi: from May 29 to September 15, 2025, the hotel’s panoramic rooftop will host Sky Kong. The initiative was born from a collaboration with Drink Kong, a crown jewel of Roman mixology.
Sky Kong: a New Concept at Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi

The stated goal is to create “a one-of-a-kind mixology experience”—something, as Cristina Vascellari (CEO of the hotel) notes, “that has never been seen before in our area.” Hotel Principe brings to the table a solid reputation for excellence and one of the region’s gastronomic landmarks: Lux Lucis, the restaurant helmed by Chef Valentino Cassanelli, has held a Michelin star since 2017.
“I wanted to create an experience for our guests that would not only be exclusive, but also surprising—one that would set a new standard of excellence for Forte dei Marmi and Versilia,” Vascellari continues. “And Drink Kong was the perfect partner for this project.” The result is a collaboration that, she says, “perfectly embodies our philosophy of quality and passion for hospitality.”
Drink Kong Welcomes Sky Kong

If Lux Lucis brings a Michelin star to the table, Drink Kong is no less acclaimed: the Roman cocktail bar ranks 33rd in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024, thanks to “its innovative and tech-forward approach to cocktails,” as noted in the award citation. Drink Kong’s founder, Patrick Pistolesi, shares his excitement: “We’re thrilled to bring the spirit of our bar to Forte dei Marmi this summer, in a setting like the rooftop of Hotel Principe. Combining our vision of mixology with the elegance of Versilia will be a journey of taste, style, and summer vibes under the stars.”
Pistolesi himself will be shaking drinks at Sky Kong in person: on May 29 for the official opening, and again on June 12 and July 24. His presence will help fuel the project and celebrate the partnership with Chef Valentino Cassanelli. The promise? “To amaze with creations that highlight local flavors and cutting-edge techniques.” One last detail. Sky Kong is designed and managed with sustainability in mind—focusing on local sourcing and minimizing waste.
