The co-founders of London Cocktail Week claim to be the pioneers of this festival format, which has since been picked up by countless other cities. It all kicked off in 2010 with just about 50 bars and 5,000 tickets that sold out in no time. Fast forward to 2024, and now over 300 bars are involved, offering tastings, events, masterclasses, and pretty much everything a cocktail lover could dream of.
London Cocktail Week 2024
At the heart of London Cocktail Week are the signature drinks, crafted by some of the best bars in London. Hundreds of venues whip up their own special mixes, served exclusively during the festival for just £8. This is all part of the “Curated Cocktail Tours“, which takes you on a sensory journey through London’s buzzing cocktail scene.
But it’s not just about the traditional bars. Expect pop-up bars, special tasting menus, and events you’ll want to jump on quickly since they might only last a night or two. Plus, there are underground parties and over 30 masterclasses that cover pretty much every spirit out there.
One thing you won’t want to miss is the Connoisseur’s Collection, back again after previous success. These moments let you enjoy exclusive tastings and cocktail flights (that’s three to five mini drinks) so you can explore a variety of flavors without going overboard on the alcohol.
The Wristband That Lets You Try It All
Some events are best booked in advance, but for everything else, you’ll need a special wristband to access London Cocktail Week. It costs £20 and is valid for all 11 days of the festival. With it, you’ll get a guidebook to help navigate through all the offerings, plus access to a custom Google Map designed just for London Cocktail Week 2024.
