Mark your calendars: on March 30, 2025, Barcelona will host the fourth edition of the Paradiso Sustainability Summit. At the heart of the event is, as always, Giacomo Giannotti, the visionary founder of Paradiso, one of the brightest stars on the Catalonian cocktail scene. With a #10 spot on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024 and a #1 ranking in 2022, Paradiso’s reputation speaks for itself.
The Two Sides of the Paradiso Sustainability Summit 2025
Looking ahead to the late-March event, Giacomo Giannotti exudes enthusiasm. “I’m thrilled that once again we’ve managed to bring together some of the most innovative minds in the drinks industry to share their knowledge on sustainable practices. Our goal,” Giannotti continues, “is not just to spark and sustain a global conversation. We also aim to create a platform to drive meaningful change within our local community.”
What’s on at the Paradiso Sustainability Summit 2025
The event is set to take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Palo Alto, a vibrant space in Barcelona that blends the charm of a former industrial area with the energy of a community market and social hub. Guests will be immersed in a dynamic atmosphere filled with exciting experiences. Eight world-renowned cocktail bars will host pop-up stations, each offering their unique creations. Over 25 signature drinks will be available to sample, paired with delicious bites served from an array of food trucks.
The day will be elevated by live DJ sets, providing the perfect soundtrack to an event that’s as entertaining as it is thought-provoking. Alongside the culinary and mixology delights, there will be a sustainable products market showcasing innovative solutions and ideas. True to its mission, the summit will also feature masterclasses, panel discussions, and hands-on activities designed to inspire and educate attendees about comprehensive sustainability in the bar industry, with a particular focus on diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment.
What to Expect
The full lineup for the 2025 edition is still being finalized, but to get a sense of what’s in store, let’s revisit last year’s highlights. The 2024 event featured big names from The World’s 50 Best Bars list, including Tres Monos from Buenos Aires, Alquímico from Cartagena and Himkok from Oslo.
Local gems from Barcelona also took the stage, like Creps Al Born, known for its unique blend of cocktails and crêpes, and Dr. Stravinsky, a highly-rated craft bar. Over 1,500 attendees gathered at Palo Alto to engage with the most pressing issues in environmental and social sustainability, giving a platform to the industry’s trailblazers who are shaping strategies for today’s challenges.
Paradiso Sustainability Summit 2025 promises to shine a light on what truly matters, celebrating the pioneers of sustainable and inclusive practices in the beverage industry.
